Kuwait International Airport is the main connection of the Kuwait islands to the northern Gulf regions and is also one of the two major airports for Gulf Air that provides more than 50% of the regional movements via 50 international flights per day. Kuwait International Airport can currently handle more than seven million passengers a year. A new general aviation terminal was completed in 2008. The airport is currently given a rating of three stars by Skytrax’s airport grading exercise along with seven other airports.
